DESCRIPTION:The National Edge AI Hub is hosting the Centre for AI Safety Ev
 ent on October 8th\, 2025 at Newcastle University in the Urban Sciences Bu
 ilding (G.003).\n\nThe Centre for AI Safety (CAIS) is a ground-breaking ne
 w research centre that will tackle one of the most critical challenges of 
 our time – ensuring artificial intelligence systems operate safely\, eth
 ically\, and reliably across all sectors of society. CAIS represents Newca
 stle University’s bold response to the rapid advancement of AI technolog
 y and the urgent need to address the economic and social risks these devel
 opments pose. As AI systems become increasingly autonomous and powerful\,
